inaugurates Alshifa Multispeciality Hospital of HWT in Okhla

Miniter Ms Sheila Dikshit inaugurated the Alshifa Multispeciality Hospital on
20th November 2011 at 11.00 am at Jamia Nagar, Hospital Campus (adjacent to
Jamaate Islami Hind HQ), Okhla, New Delhi.
After the
inauguration, Ms Sheila Dikshit visited all the departments of the hospital.
She appreciated the efforts of K. A. Siddique Hassan, Secretary of Human
Welfare Trust, and General Secretary of Human Welfare Foundation an umbrella
body of Vision 2016 program for providing such good infrastructure
multispeicality hospital in this high density population area.
Expressing her desire
to establish a maternity and government hospital in Jamia Nagar, Ms Dikshit
said, “Due to non availability of land the maternity hospital has not been
constructed yet but whenever we find out some acre of land then government will
establish a maternity hospital or it will support HWT to start the maternity
hospital.”
The inaugural function
was presided by Syed Jalaluddin Umri, President of Jamaate Islami Hind and
Chairman of Human Welfare Trust. He said that to care the patients is also a
big Ibadat in Islam.

Hassan, Secretary, HWT, and architect of Vision-2016 program and the person
behind the successfully implementing the hospital project expressed thanks to
Ms. Sheila Dikshit, C.M. of Delhi, Safdar H. Khan, Chairman, Delhi Minority
Commssion, Kiran Walia, Minister of Social Welfare, Delhi, Dr. Azad Moopan,
Chairman, DM Healthcare, Mr. Sandeep Dikshit, Member of Parliament, Dr. Hussain,
FMC, Chairman, Fathima Healthcare Services and Syed Hamid Hussain, Chairman,
Human Welfare Foundation and Chancellor, Jamia Hamdardf for coming in this
function despite of his ill health.

Hassan, Secretary, HWT, expressed thanks to all the contributors and donors who
supported financially and all the way to complete the hospital. He said that
now this hospital is of 40-bed capacity but soon the hospital will try to
become a 150 bedded hospital.
He said that Rs 12
crore have been spent for constructing this hospital and further support of the
philanthropist, well-wisher and donors is needed to make this hospital
150-bedded.
He said that in last
five years of Vision-2016 it has established 40 schools and it is trying to
establish 100 technical schools in different parts of India. He said that it
has established some 6 national NGOs like APCR which has been successful for
releasing 1000 innocent youths from jail, and providing pensions to old people,
SBF is doing on disaster management work in different parts of the country and
ten hospitals, 500 micro-co-operative society to benefit 73 lakh families and
to start hundred of medical van in remote places are in proposal to open under
its vision 2016 program.

Moopan, Chairman, DM Healthcare, MIMS, offered to open cancer treatment hall
and a high sum of money for the hospital project.
Dr. K. P. Hussain,
Chairman, Fathima Healthcare Services said that disease come to both rich and
poor and the responsibility of doctor is to treat both rich and poor patients.
He also offered to provide dialysis centre and other diagnostic centre headed
and with support of K. A. Siddique Hassan sb here in this locality of Jamia
Nagar, Okhla.
